About Us
Sweet Magnolia Learning Center is a safe haven for children to grow and learn. We follow the frog street curriculum which is a comprehensive program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, while supporting 10 learning domains. Frog Street offers an entire family of early childhood programs that present program continuity from birth to Pre-K. Frog Street is aligned to state and national standards and focuses on high quality instruction and materials in the field of early childhood. This engaging, interactive program celebrates the joy of learning while children travel down the road to success. Integrated STEAM projects promote problem solving and beginning coding skills. Interactive digital programs support virtual learning and families at home. An exclusive partnership with the Conscious Discipline program provides the tools for a strong social-emotional foundation. Our staff assists children in using language to deal with their feelings utilizing Conscious Discipline. Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based, comprehensive classroom management program and a social-emotional curriculum. It is based on current brain research, child development information, and developmentally appropriate practices. It facilitates early childhood teachers in creating "school families" where children and teachers can reclaim joy, helpfulness and caring as a foundation for the educational process. Our teachers will communicate with you daily regarding your child's social, emotional, educational, and physical progress. Three times a year we evaluate your child's developmental outcomes with an assessment as well as parent-teacher conferences which are always available upon request. We encourage you to become involved in our program by being volunteers for special events and field trips. Parents and other family members are welcomed visitors in our center at all times.
Hello, my name is Danica Reese. I’m the owner and director of Sweet Magnolia Learning Center. My passion for the childcare industry began at the age of 18 when i was a fresh graduate from Madisonville high. I was hired as a teacher at Sugar and Spice Daycare which is the very same building that I will be beginning the business owner journey in. I also worked at Miss Rita’s Daycare for over 5 years and received my directors license. I was also a director for a learning center in Victoria Texas. After leaving childcare, I went into the construction industry and have been the Vice President of Sullivan Classic Homes for the past 6 years with plans of one day taking over the company. Even though I left childcare, my passion for the industry never left my heart. When the opportunity to buy the building arose, I felt like it was God leading me back to my very first love. My goal is to provide so much more than childcare but a safe haven for children to learn. Children are the future and they deserve every opportunity to flourish. Parents also deserve to have a learning center where they can trust that their most valued treasure will be taken care of. I feel the secret to childcare is giving the child the tools to learn through play and curriculum. If the children in the classroom are engaged and feel heard then they will be open to the curriculum. I am looking forward to providing a dependable learning center to Madison County.
